Welcome to Calvary Chapel Christian School . . .

OUR PURPOSE

Motto: Believe, Receive, Achieve!

Vision Statement: Our vision is that students who attend CCCS will learn to exhibit the qualities of followers of Jesus Christ: to be people who love Him and desire to submit to His Lordship in every aspect of their lives.

Mission Statement: Our mission, as a Christ-centered school, is to challenge our students academically, spiritually, socially, and physically to become servant-leaders who serve God, honor their families, and embrace Christ’s call to transform the world.

Philosophy of Education: We believe that parents are God’s primary provision for nurturing and educating children based on our understanding of Deuteronomy 6:6-9. It is our desire to come alongside and supplement the home, serving as a representative of parents in matters of education, ministry, and discipline. We believe a strong home/school relationship is essential. Therefore, parental involvement and support play vital roles in the academic and spiritual growth and development of each child. Teachers and parents must regularly and consistently communicate regarding the progress of the child through such means as telephone calls, written correspondence, email, progress reports, report cards, and parent/teacher conferences.

Statement of Purpose: CCCS exists for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission of making disciples for Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19) and directing young people to fulfill the Great Commandment of loving God and loving one another (Matthew 22:37-40). True followers of Jesus Christ will know Him and seek to make Him known; they will grow in Him and grow as He grew “in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people” (Luke 2:52).

OUR STORY

Calvary Chapel Christian School was founded in 1994 as a K-6 school when the Lord laid the vision on the heart of John Milhouse, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Moreno Valley.  Our school is located in Moreno Valley, a suburban community in central Riverside County. CCCS’ initial enrollment in 1994 was 92 students.  The high school grades 9 and 10 were added in 1997 and the school continued to grow in the following years, adding grades 11 & 12.

As a Christian school, CCCS employees and students hold to a conservative, evangelical position on theology and morality.  Employees and students attend a diverse number of churches from the local area.  Bible class is taught on a daily basis; students attend weekly chapel services.

The academic program is college preparatory; high school graduation requirements are 4 years of English, 4 years of Bible, 3.5 years of social studies, 2 years of lab science, 3 years of mathematics, 2 years of foreign language, 1 year of fine arts, 2 year of electives, and 1 year of physical education.

The campus environment is known for being safe, caring, and protective.  There is a high degree of accountability at CCCS.   Parents and teachers are very involved in the lives of the students.
